Interim General Counsel

Ted Sanders serves as CIRCOR’s Interim General Counsel, based at the company’s headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this role, Ted leads all global legal services for CIRCOR, including oversight of commercial matters and contracts, trade compliance, and regulatory matters.

Ted brings more than 20 years of experience to CIRCOR’s legal function, having served the past three years as the company’s Deputy General Counsel prior to his promotion in March 2025. During that time, he played a key role in strengthening the legal team and supporting strategic business initiatives with sound, pragmatic legal guidance.

With a background in global legal operations, business transformation, compliance, product development and engineering, Ted offers a collaborative and business-focused approach to legal leadership. He is a strong advocate for fostering an ownership culture, working closely with internal teams to promote accountability, reduce risk, and enable growth through clear and effective legal support and efficient legal solutions.

Prior to joining CIRCOR, Ted held various in-house legal positions at a Nasdaq-listed emissions control company, including five years as its general counsel, where he navigated the company through several strategic alternatives reviews and changing regulatory landscape.  Before turning to law, Ted worked as an automotive engineer for Ford Motor Company and Hyundai Kia America Technical Center, supporting best-in-class product development initiatives.

He holds a Juris Doctor with a concentration in Intellectual Property from the University of San Diego School of Law, an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
